Our crops

Over 35 varieties of locally-grown vegetables

On 160 hectares of fields and 15 hectares of greenhouses to the west of Yverdon-les-Bains (VD), we grow a wide range of vegetables, including tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, courgettes and aubergines. Our IP-SUISSE, Suisse Garantie and SwissGap certified production meets exacting standards in terms of transparency, traceability, respect for the environment and food safety.

A feast for the eyes and the taste buds

We select our vegetable varieties according to taste, appearance, nutrition and hardiness. To achieve our quality objectives, we take meticulous care with our crops, combining human skills and technology. We harvest our vegetables up to 7 days a week to guarantee optimum ripeness and freshness.

A real passion for tomatoes

Nearly 15% of the tomatoes sold in Switzerland come from our greenhouses. You'll find them under our "C'est si bon", "C'est si frais", "Swiss Red" and Coop "Primagusto" brands. Our favourite: the YOOM® tomatoes from the ArteGusto brand that we created in collaboration with other market gardeners who, like us, are passionate about local culture and the art of eating with taste.

Swiss pioneers in substrate-based cultivation

In the 1990s, we broke new ground with the first substrate greenhouses in Switzerland. This method extends the local vegetable production season, while reducing the use of water and plant protection products. As well as protecting the vegetables from insects and disease, this type of cultivation allows us to use technology to monitor the health of the plants and precisely regulate the climate and watering.

Integrated, biological and mechanical control

We rely on preventive and environmentally-friendly solutions to protect our crops. In greenhouses, precise control of climatic conditions and cultivation on substrate are essential, complemented by the use of auxiliary insects to maintain the balance against pests. In the field, we favour methods such as mechanical weed-pulling, enabling our crops to develop under optimum conditions.

Protecting the health of our teams

Farm work is physically demanding, which is why we are constantly seeking to improve the comfort and health of our employees, in particular by varying tasks, optimising ergonomics and mechanising operations.

Stoll Geothermal Project

Towards more renewable energy

All our roofs are covered with solar panels and we're looking for sustainable energy solutions to heat our greenhouses. In 2022, we were the first company in the canton of Vaud to launch a medium-depth geothermal energy project. Drilling to a depth of 1,200 metres was inconclusive, but we are continuing our efforts. Our commitments have earned us AEnEC certification.

A migratory stopover for birds

Every year, we flood 5 hectares of our fields to turn them into a stopover for migratory birds. This project, run in conjunction with birdwatching associations, provides a 'service station' for birds, including many waders that were once rare in the region. This initiative complements our work to promote biodiversity and protect the environment.
